I offer private yoga sessions across Marlow, Henley-on-Thames, and Cookham, as well as a weekly online live class every Thursday, 9:30–10:30 am. Each session is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and build strength  physically and mentally, in the comfort of your own home or a private studio space.

My Iyengar-inspired yoga sessions are grounded, mindful, and tailored to you. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced — just open to moving, breathing, and giving yourself some space.

Each session blends movement, mindfulness, and relaxation, leaving you feeling calmer, steadier, and more centred. Whether you want to ease stress, recover from injury, or carve out a peaceful hour for yourself, this is your space to reset and restore.

MY PATH TO YOGA

My Story

Yoga has transformed my life. As a hairdresser, I spent years on the go, exhausted, anxious, and constantly chasing the next thing that I hoped would bring peace. Yoga helped me quiet my mind, reconnect with my body, and find stillness in the noise.

I first discovered yoga while recovering from sciatica, and it was a turning point. Through consistent practice, I healed without medication and discovered how powerful mindful movement can be.

Now, yoga is a way of life,  keeping me grounded, strong, and centred both on and off the mat. You can experience the same benefits, starting with small choices made today: pause, breathe, and give yourself the gift of calm.

About My Classes

Simple, supportive and grounding

I teach Iyengar-inspired yoga, a steady, precise practice focusing on alignment, balance, and awareness. Each class is personalised to your body and experience — whether you’re brand new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice.

Classes can be held:

  • Privately in a studio or your home

  • Online in a live session every Thursday, 9:30–10:30 AM

You’ll leave feeling a little stronger, a little taller, and a lot calmer.

QUALIFICATIONS

About Me

​

I’m an Iyengar Yoga instructor based in Marlow, Cookham & Maidenhead.

 

I first discovered yoga in my early twenties through a general teacher training course, but it was Iyengar Yoga that truly captured my interest. Under the guidance of senior Iyengar teachers Uday Bhosale and Sheila Haswell, I discovered how Iyengar’s precise focus on alignment could deepen my understanding of yoga.

 

This inspired me to undertake a two-year Iyengar Yoga teacher training with my mentor Sheila Haswell (CIYT), completing over 150 hours of practical tuition alongside study in anatomy, asana, and pranayama (breath work). In my final year, I also assisted Sheila in her classes twice a week, gaining hands-on teaching experience.

 

In the summer of 2019, I qualified as a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher with the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute.

Do I need to bring my own mat?

Mats are provided, but you’re welcome to use your own if that feels more comfortable.

 

Are your classes suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. All levels are welcome. I’ll guide you through each pose and offer variations tailored to your body and experience.

 

What should I wear?

Wear anything that allows you to move freely — leggings, shorts or a comfortable top. We practise barefoot, so no shoes are needed.

 

Do I need to book in advance?

Where are the classes held?

Classes are completely flexible. We can meet in a private studio space, come to your home, or practise together online,  whatever suits you.

 

Can yoga help with back pain or stiffness?

Yes. The Iyengar-inspired approach focuses on alignment and stability, which can relieve back pain, improve posture, and increase flexibility.

Private and online classes give you personalised guidance and attention. You’ll move at your own pace, focus on what your body needs, and get the support to practise safely and confidently.
